Man airlifted to hospital in 'serious' condition after being found injured in Northdown Road, Cliftonville

A man has been airlifted to hospital in a serious condition after being found injured in a street.

Police taped off an area outside a shop in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, after the man was discovered at about 6.30am.

He was airlifted to a London hospital and his condition is described as 'serious'.

Police are inquiring into how he sustained his injuries.

A police spokesman said: "Police officers attended Northdown Road, Cliftonville, after a man was found injured in the street at about 6.30am on Friday, May 10.

"The man was airlifted to a London hospital and his condition is described as serious.

"No criminal offences have been reported but inquiries are ongoing to establish how the man sustained his injuries."
