Margate: Man arrested following serious assault at Rosedale Road flat

A man is in a serious condition in hospital following an assault at a flat.

A 39-year-old man from Margate has been arrested after police were called to Rosedale Road in the town by ambulance crews shortly before 2pm yesterday.

The victim, a man in his 40s, was flown to a London hospital with injuries to his neck and chest.

His condition is said to be serious but stable.

The 39-year-old has also been arrested on suspicion of assaulting two police officers, as well as in connection with the assault.

He remains in police custody.
