A man was arrested after he walked along train tracks after an incident with railway staff earlier today.

Officers from the British Transport Police arrested the man this morning after he walked at least a mile along the tracks between Ramsgate and Minster.

Officers said the man had been abusive toward staff at the station before he walked along live tracks.

The incident was tweeted by officers who said luckily, there was no trains running at the time.

The man was later released under investigation.
