A homeless man has been arrested on suspicion of handing stolen after five stolen bikes were recovered.

Police were called to an address in Marine Gardens, Margate at 3.40pm yesterday following a report that a man was behaving suspiciously.

Five bicycles were recovered from the scene, all of which are believed to be stolen from the Thanet area.

Officers have been in contact with the owners of the bicycles.

A 39-year-old man was arrested and currently remains in custody while enquiries are ongoing.
