Ramsgate: Marek Pietras charged with attempted murder after man stabbed in Royal Parade

A 32-year-old has been charged with attempted murder after a man was stabbed at a hotel.

The victim remains in a serious but stable condition in at a London hospital following the assault in Royal Parade, Ramsgate in the early hours of yesterday morning.

The Crown Prosecution Service has authorised a charge of attempted murder against homeless Marek Pietras, 32.

Police were called to the hotel at about 12.40am yesterday after it was reported a man had been stabbed, and suffered serious injuries.

Officers carried out a search which led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man in the High Street.

Mr Pietras remains in police custody and will appear at Medway Magistrates’ Court via video link today.
