Man hit by car in Fairfield Road, Broadstairs, flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries

A man has been flown to hospital with life-threatening injuries after being hit by a car.

The serious collision happened in Fairfield Road, Broadstairs, shortly before 12.30pm yesterday.

Police say the pedestrian in his 20s was walking near the junction with Fair Street when he was hit by a black Nissan Qashqai, which stopped at the scene.

The man was airlifted to hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A police spokesman said: “Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and there have been no arrests.”
