A man has suffered a head injury after being hit over the head with a pool cue in a pub in Ramsgate.

It was reported that at about 7.30pm on Thursday, April 12 the victim, a man in his 40s, was in the Earl St Vincent pub in King Street when we he was assaulted.

He suffered a head injury and was taken to local hospital.

Officers would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the assault or who has information about the incident.
