Two men arrested after 'man seen with saw' in Northdown Road area of Margate

Two men have been arrested after people reported being threatened by a man with a saw.

Police were called to the Northdown Road area of Margate shortly after 10am to the report of a disturbance.

A man has been taken to hospital after he was allegedly assaulted by the suspects.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

Several other people are also believed to have been threatened during the incident.

Officers attended and arrested two men on suspicion of affray, assault and possession of an offensive weapon. Both men have been released pending further investigation

A hand saw was recovered from the scene.
