A woman, who fell asleep at the home of a friend, woke up to find a man carrying out a sex act on her.

She was attacked in the early hours of a morning in April while staying at an address in Thanet after drinking with friends.

Canterbury Crown Court heard how Patrick McQuinn, 60, attacked her by removing some of her clothes and sexually assaulting her.

The horrified victim woke up and shouted: “Get off me!” before the sex fiend invited her to touch him sexually – which she rejected.

The incident was reported to police and McQuinn, of Wellington Crescent, Ramsgate was arrested but denied the offence.

He pleaded not guilty to sexual assault but was convicted by a jury at Canterbury Crown Court and jailed for three years.
