Emergency services were called to a town centre after a woman assaulted a man outside Costa.

The incident happened in Margate high street at 7pm yesterday.

It is thought she punched the man, who was then given medical treatment by paramedics.

A police spokesman said: “We were called to a report that a woman had assaulted a man in Margate high street at 7pm on Wednesday.

“Officers attended along with the ambulance service and the man was given medical attention.

“Inquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone with information is urged to call 01843 222289, quoting reference 46/110285/23.”
