Ramsgate: Money stolen from man in Cavendish Street robbery

A man was tripped over before having cash swiped from his pockets as he lay on the floor after leaving an amusement arcade.

Just before midnight on Thursday, September 13, the victim, a man in his 30s, was walking home from the arcade in Queen Street, Ramsgate.

A few minutes later, into the early hours of Friday, he reached Cavendish Street where he heard footsteps behind him.

Before he could turn around he was pushed in the back and tripped over.

While on the floor, his money was stolen from his pocket and the suspects ran away, back in the direction of Queen Street.

The victim was unable to get a look at the suspects and is not sure how many people were there.

Officers investigating the robbery would like to hear from any witnesses or anyone with information that could assist their inquiries.
