Man taken to hospital after crash in Canterbury Road, Birchington

A man has been taken to hospital with head injuries after a crash in Birchington in the early hours of this morning.

Kent Police received reports that a pedestrian and a car had collided on the A28 Canterbury Road at 4.55am.

The road was partially blocked due to the accident, which happened between King Edward Road and Seamark Road.

The male pedestrian, who is in his 20s, has been taken to a London hospital with arm and leg injuries and back pain.

The London-bound side of the road was closed but has since been reopened and police are still at the scene.
