A manhunt has been launched after a sex attack in the early hours.

Police are investigating after a man reportedly approached a woman in Cornwall Gardens, Margate, before touching her over clothing.

Officers say the incident happened at about 3.25am today.

A police spokesman said: “The victim was able to challenge the man and he left the scene.

“He is believed to have approached the woman from the direction of the seafront before the incident.

“Anyone with information, or who has doorbell, CCTV or dashcam footage from the area at that time, is urged to come forward.”
