Meat thief Richard Cole-Leggatt, of Shaftsbury Street, Ramsgate, jailed for 240 days by Thanet Magistrates Court

Four counts of shoplifting meat have resulted in a 240-day prison sentence for Richard Cole-Leggatt of Ramsgate.

Cole-Leggatt, 31, of Shaftsbury Street, admitted committing the offences in the last few weeks and was sentenced by Thanet Magistrates’ Court .

On October 5, he stole meat valued at £18.08 from a supermarket in Boundary Road, Ramsgate. On October 29, he had stolen £30-worth of meat from a supermarket in High Street, Broadstairs, and meat valued at £15 from a supermarket in The Broadway, Broadstairs.

On November 1, Cole-Leggatt stole meat valued at £39 from a supermarket in High Street, Broadstairs.
