Ramsgate lost ground on the playoff-chasers in Ryman League Division 1 South after a 4-2 defeat at Merstham on Saturday.

The hosts took a 1-0 lead into the break and despite Tom Tsangarides levelling for the Rams on 55 minutes, it was only three minutes before Merstham were back infront and it was 3-1 six minutes later.

Gary Mickelborough, pictured, reduced the deficit on 67 minutes but for the second time this season Ramsgate conceded after sending keeper Sam Mott forward for a stoppage-time free-kick, this time Gavin Gordon strolling the ball into an empty net to make it 4-2.
