Missing Louise: Possible sightings followed up

THE desperate parents of missing Kent nurse Louise Kerton have again returned to Germany in another bid to find her. Louise, 24, from Broadstairs, was last seen at Aachen railway station on July 30 after visiting her fiancé, Peter Simon.

A group of 20 friends and relatives are following up possible sightings in the city. Her father, Phil, said: "It's only by being out there ourselves that we get to learn what is happening and about new sightings. It seems that German people, rather than getting in touch with their police, respond much more readily to real human people."

The search will concentrate on areas where past sightings suggest that a young foreign woman is passing some of her time. Mr Kerton said: "It's really important that we try to find out for sure if this is genuinely Louise.

“The German police classify her case as 'missing person' on the basis of the initial sightings in August and it could just be someone with a slight resemblance."

The party is accompanied by a television crew from ITV’s Tonight programme which is fronted by Trevor McDonald.

Louise attended school with Lucie Blackman, the Sevenoaks woman murdered in Japan, and a classmate of the two women is helping in the search.
