Kent Police and Kent Air Ambulance called to Broadstairs

A moped rider has been airlifted to hospital after a crash.

The emergency services were called to Bairds Hill, Broadstairs, at just after 3pm on Monday after a Mazda car collided with a Piaggio moped.

The moped rider was taken by air ambulance to the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford suffering injuries to his upper arm, abdomen and legs.

The road reopened at 4.35pm.
