A person has been taken to hospital following a crash between a motorbike and a car.

The incident happened at about 12.30pm today along one-way street Charlotte Square, near the St John's Church, in Margate.

Police were on the scene along with paramedics, who took the biker to a local hospital.

It is understood the motorcyclist's injuries are not life-threatening.

The incident led to the road being closed until 2.45pm.
