With the risk of a smash heightened, a skatepark is an unlikely place for a gnome to call home.

Overnight, however, a number of the cheerful figures and other garden ornaments have appeared at Broadstairs skatepark.

Several statues seem to have been carefully lined up on ramps in the park, with claims on social media they have been stolen from gardens surrounding the area.

It's gnome surprise people have been left scratching their heads.
