Want to get on the property ladder? A new development in the village of Minster features affordable new homes built under the government-backed New Build HomeBuy scheme.

Aspiring homeowners are invited to the unveiling of the new Heronsbrook development on Saturday 4 December between 10am and 3pm.

Properties include two-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom houses, with prices starting at £36,000 for a 30 per cent share of the two-bedroom apartment, and for the three-bedroom houses the price starts at £54,000 for a 30 per cent share.

Under the New Build HomeBuy scheme you purchase a share of the property usually, but not always, with a mortgage and rent the remaining share at a discounted rate. You can then purchase additional shares in the future until you own the property outright.

The properties feature allocated parking, fitted kitchen with oven, hob and hood, fitted bathroom, two double bedrooms for the apartments and two doubles and a single for the houses, and all have an energy-saving electrical heating system.

This is a unique opportunity to buy a new home in Minster under the Government-backed New Build HomeBuy scheme, enabling those who would otherwise struggle to buy in this sought after area the chance to purchase their own home. To encourage local people to buy these homes, priority will go to those currently living in the parish of Minster.

Staff from Orbit Homes will be on hand during the event to show visitors around the homes, and those interested in coming along are asked to book an appointment by calling Orbit Homes on 01622 633241.

Sales and Marketing Manager, Diane Webster said: "This is a great opportunity for anyone looking for an affordable home in the Minster area to be first to view these lovely homes. Affordable homes in the area are difficult to find, so we would urge people to come along on the day so that they don’t miss out. If you have an annual household income of less than £60,000 and are in need of an affordable home in the area this could be the place for you."

For further information on Heronsbrook or any other Orbit Homes development in the region, and to book an appointment for the open day, call 01622 633241 or email:orbithomes.enquires@orbit.org.uk.
