A car has overturned, blocking a road in Ramsgate.

Police, the fire service and paramedics are currently at the scene in Hereson Road, and the driver, as well as any passengers, are being assessed for injuries.

A road closure has been set up at the Montefiore Avenue for public safety.

A spokesman for the force said: "Kent Police was called to a report a car had overturned in Hereson Road at 1.38pm on Sunday.

"Officers are in attendance alongside Kent Fire and Rescue Service and South East Coast Ambulance Service, who are assessing for injuries at the scene."

The South East Coast Ambulance Service has been approached for comment.
