A sex pervert has been jailed for life – after a judge ruled he poses a “grave” risk to children in the future.

Thirtyfive-year-old Milan Gatyas corrupted “innocent” children to slake his warped sexual urges.

A court heard how he had used his mobile phone to film his vile activities - which he tried to claim wasn't sexual.

Now Judge Adele Williams has told him: “Your crimes are so grave they plainly call for a denunciatory element to reflect public abhorrence which is only available in a sentence of life imprisonment.”

Gatyas, of Dane Road, Margate, admitted 25 child sex offences – which only came to light after the father of one of the victims complained.

Charlotte Newell, prosecuting, told Canterbury Crown Court how the girl revealed that the Czech-born Gatyas had paid her £2 to pose for photographs.

"you robbed those children of their innocence – and the effects will be both traumatic and long term" – judge adele williams

Another victim revealed how she was groomed by the paedophile who offered her sweets.

Gatyas – who initially denied taking the photographs –was made to hand over his mobile phone and it was analysed by forensic experts.

Ms Newell said that some of the files were encrypted and Gatyas claimed he didn’t know the code.

Officers were still able to recovered 85 depraved images up to Level Four – Level Five being the most extreme.

Dominic Webber, defending, said Gatyas, who came to the UK 12 years ago, wanted to apologise for his actions – which he described as “insane”.

The judge told him: “You robbed those children of their innocence – and the effects will be both traumatic and long-term.

“You have shown no remorse, no understanding of the psychological damage that you have caused."

She ruled that he remain on the Sex Offender’s Register for life – and ordered an indefinite Sexual Offences Prevention Order.

Judge Williams added that Gatyas's claim that he didn’t believe what he had done was sexual was “absolute rubbish”.

“You are in total denial but the only person you are deluding is yourself!”

Gatyas was given a life sentence and told he may NEVER be released back into the community as long as he poses a serious risk to children.
