A shocked dog walker sounded the alarm after a potentially lethal landslip crashed between two highly popular beaches.
Stephen Bailey and wife Anna were walking their dog Luna on Boxing Day when they happened on the aftermath at Stone Gap in Broadstairs.
His snaps show masses of rocks, stones and chalk having cascaded to the ground.
Situated between Joss Bay, where filming took place for the Christmas Day episode of Eastenders last year, and Stone Bay, Mr Bailey says he thinks the fall happened because of the adverse weather.
The 56-year-old says this has acted as a warning sign to keep a safe distance from the edges.
“We walk this route most days with our dog, tide permitting,” Mr Bailey said.
“These cliffs are fairly stable but it’s a reminder not to walk directly under a cliff face.”
Mr Bailey says he and his wife always ensure they don’t walk too close as there are often small pieces of chalk being dislodged by birds nesting in the cliffs.
He added: “We think this happened overnight between Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
“We were surprised as in the four years of waking along Stone Gap, this is the first substantial fall we’ve witnessed.
“I think it happened because of heavy rains over the last month together with the seasonal high tides and strong winds.
“This will hopefully remind people to keep away from the cliff face as you get plenty of tourists that aren’t aware.”
