Police appeal for witnesses after robbery in King Street, Ramsgate

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was knocked to the floor and had her purse snatched in Ramsgate.

Just after midnight on Tuesday, April 7, a 48-year-old woman walking along King Street noticed two men in an alleyway near a derelict pub.

One of the men walked away and the other approached her and asked for the time.

Officers are currently at the scene

Shortly afterwards, the man ran up behind the woman, knocked her to the floor and grabbed her purse.

He was white, in his 30s, thin and about 5ft 10ins tall and clean shaven. He had light brown hair and was wearing a coloured hooded top, a dark jacket and tracksuit bottoms and white trainers.

The second man, who walked away just before the robbery, is white, of medium build, about 5ft 8ins tall, with short light brown hair.
