Marked police car in crash with taxi in A28 at junction of Westbrook Avenue, Margate

A man driving a taxi was taken to hospital with chest injuries after he was in a crash with a marked police car - which also saw two officers hurt.
The crash happened on the A28 Canterbury Road at the junction with Westbrook Avenue in Margate at just before 2am yesterday.
Following the accident the police car, a white Skoda Octavia, hit a garden wall outside a property, damaging it.
Police said the man driving the Vauxhall Zafira taxi - described as gun metal in colour - suffered chest injuries.
Two police officers were also treated for neck and arm injuries.
PC Jamie Woodhamsof the Serious Collision Investigation Unit said: "The incident caused extensive damage to both vehicles and also to the wall of a property.
"It was at a time when many people were likely to have been making their way home from a night out and we’re appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or seen either of the cars moments before to call us."
