Police have released an image of a man they believe robbed an elderly lady just before Christmas.

The woman's handbag was stolen in Canterbury Road, Westgate, between 11.30am and 1pm on Sunday, December 20.

The suspect is described as looking eastern European with mousey hair and a big nose.

He was wearing a matching grey/ blue hoody and bottoms at the time and was last seen running up an alleyway which links Canterbury Road and Alicia Avenue.

The suspect is believed to be in his mid-teens.
