Investigation launched after boy hit by car in College Road, Margate

An investigation has been launched after a teenage boy was hit by a car.

A white Nissan was involved in a collision with a pedestrian at a zebra crossing in College Road, Margate, near to the junction with St Peter's Footpath.

The pedestrian, a teenage boy, was injured in the crash and went to hospital for treatment afterwards.

The incident happened at about 1.45pm on Sunday.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and in particular would like to speak to the driver of a blue SUV which stopped at the time.

Anyone who witnessed the collision or has any information regarding the incident should call police on 01843 222289 quoting 11-0721.
