Road taped off after woman 'sexually assaulted' in Albion Hill in Ramsgate

An area of Ramsgate has been taped off this morning after a report a woman was sexually assaulted.

Officers were called just before 6am to Albion Hill, by the harbour, where the assault is alleged to have taken place.

A cordon was put up at the end of Harbour Street, near the Port and Anchor pub.

A police spokesman said: "Officers were called at 5.58am today to a report a woman had been sexually assaulted by a man in the Albion Hill area of Ramsgate.

"The individuals involved are understood to be known to each other and officers are conducting ongoing enquiries at the scene."
