Detectives urge men who chased off a would-be robber near the Salvation Army Citadel in Addington Street, Margate to get in touch

Police are hoping to trace two men who rushed to the assistance of a couple being threatened by a man with a broken bottle.
The Good Samaritans went to help as they witnessed the attempted robbery in Margate.
The incident happened at 11.30 pm on Thursday, April 17 near the Salvation Army Citadel in Addington Street.
A 34-year-old man was walking with his wife when they were approached by a man armed with a broken bottle who demanded they give him money.
Two men in a car stopped, went to the couple’s assistance and started to chase the suspect away. The duo then took the couple to their friend’s house.
Detectives investigating the incident would like to trace these men as they may be important witnesses.
The suspect is described as white, aged 18, of thin build, 5ft 10in tall with fair cropped hair. He was wearing a white shirt and dark jeans.
