Crash involving motorbike blocks A254 in Ramsgate

A major route has been blocked and two were injured after a motorcycle hit a pedestrian.

The crash happened near Lidl on the A254 Margate Road in Ramsgate this afternoon.

Ambulance crews are at the scene and queues are building.

Traffic information site Inrix and witnesses on social media report that a motorcyclist hit a person on foot.

A police spokesman said: “We were called shortly before 4pm today to a report of a collision involving a motorbike and a pedestrian on Margate Road near to the junction with New Cross Road in Ramsgate.

“Officers attended to assist with clearing the road and paramedics treated two people for injuries.”
