Cliftonville: Pedestrian suffers 'serious injuries' in crash with motorbike

A pedestrian has reportedly suffered serious injuries after being hit by a motorbike in Thanet.
Police were called just after 2.30pm to reports of the incident.
The bike - which had two people on board - hit the pedestrian in Northdown Road, Cliftonville.
Suggestions on social media that the pedestrian - thought to be an elderly man - have not been confirmed by police.
The motorbike driver and a pillion passenger also received injuries. Two people have been arrested in connection with this incident.
Road closures have been in place from Northumberland Avenue between the junctions of Rutland Avenue and Northdown Park Road and also from Northdown Road with the junctions of Prince’s Gardens and Leicester Avenue.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area.
Officers would like to talk to anyone who may have seen a black, silver and yellow Honda CBR being driven in the area.
