Police appeal after motorcyclist seriously injured in crash in College Road, Margate

Police are appealing for witnesses after a crash in which a motorcyclist was seriously injured and flown to a London hospital.

The collision between a black Suzuki motorbike and a grey Audi A3 happened near the Victoria traffic lights junction on College Road in Margate on Friday.

Emergency services including the air ambulance were called at about 2.50pm, and a man with serious injuries was flown to a London hospital, where he remains.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who saw the incident.

A police spokesman said: “We are investigating the circumstances and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.

“Witnesses can call Kent Police on 01843 222289 quoting 20-0802.

“Anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dashcam footage taken in the area at the time of the collision can submit it using the online portal.”

The road was closed for more than two hours and reopened at around 5.10pm after the crash.
