A replica of an historic Spanish galleon which has traversed the globe will dock in Kent.
Designed on ships which sailed between the 16th and 19th centuries, the 48m long Galeón Andalucía will moor at Ramsgate Harbour’s Commercial Quay.
The ships navigated the Atlantic Ocean to establish trade between Spain, America and the Philippines.
Now a floating museum, guests will have the chance to explore Andalucia’s five decks between 10am to 8pm from 25 to 28 July.
The boat, which was built in 2009, weighs about 500 tonnes and boasts sails, which combine to a total of 11,000sq ft.
For three centuries, these Spanish galleons crossed the Atlantic Ocean back and forth, sailed around the Caribbean Sea and the American coasts, and covered the Pacific route as well.
Aboard, visitors can learn about the ships, the seas and coasts they travelled, alongside what life was like onboard.
Tickets are €12 for adults and €6 for children and can be bought online.
