Broadstairs woman arrested following thefts in Margate, Broadstairs and Westbrook

A suspected shoplifter has been arrested following a spate of thefts and a burglary in Margate.

Meat and alcohol were among the items reported stolen from Tesco in Canterbury Road, Westbrook on Friday, April 27 and Monday 30.

On Broadstairs High Street, cosmetics were stolen from Savers on Wednesday, May 23.

Police are also investigating a number of other thefts in the area.

A bank card was stolen from a property in Margate, which has been used multiple times to buy goods between March and May.

A man standing at a cash pint on Margate High Street on Sunday, May 20 is said to have had a wallet taken from him, containing cash.

In Herne Bay, a car which had been reported stolen from outside a house in Farley Road, Margate, hit a parked car in the early hours of Friday, April 20 in Mickleburgh Hill.

A 24-year-old woman from Broadstairs was detained in connection with these incidents on Friday, June 1.

She has been released on police bail until Thursday, June 21.
