A teenager has been taken to hospital after being hit by a vehicle.

Police and paramedics were called to Vicarage Place in Margate after the collision shortly before 9a today.

A police spokesman said: “A teenager sustained injuries and he was taken to a local hospital for treatment.”

Part of Ramsgate Road near Watling Tyres was closed following the incident.

The road reopened by about 10am.
