Teenager released after arrest at McDonald's car park in Broadstairs following reports of paintball shooting spree

A teenager arrested following a reported paintball shooting spree has been released without charge.

A number of residents were said to have been in the aim of fire before police detained a 19-year-old man at McDonald's car park in Margate Road, Broadstairs.

Officers were responding to reports of paintballs being fired from a car at people and property last night.

The suspect - arrested by police at 11.20pm - was initially held in custody on suspicion of assault and possession of cannabis.

Police said on Monday morning the teenager was released without charge.
