A fundraiser set up in memory of a "loving family man" has topped £2,000 just four days after his death.
His death comes just four months before his son is due to be born and his brother-in-law to be has set up a fundraising effort to build his and his partner's dream home.
On a Go Fund Me page Mr Wood is described as "intellectual, handsome, hilarious and charismatic".
His fiancee's brother wrote: "I have spent the last 48 hours glued to my sister, experiencing her pain with her.
"She and I both want to fulfil Marc’s dream of building his family home and completing his work.
"Every penny raised will be put toward their future and as her youngest brother I urge all my supporters to gang together and help me and my family at this desperate time of need. I love you all."
A fundraising target of £7,000 has been set with £2,700 being raised already. If you would like to donate then please click here.
