Six people have been arrested after armed police were called to a residential street in Margate.

A man and two women were held on suspicion of drug offences. A further three people have since been taken into custody also on suspicion of drug offences.

A search of the area was also carried out after police were called to a property in King Street.

Armed units were also called as a precaution.
