Margate: Three arrested after reported robbery in Victoria Road

Three people have been arrested after a woman said she was threatened and had her handbag stolen.

Police were called shortly after midnight to Victoria Road, Margate, following the incident.

The 29-year-old victim told officers she was approached by another woman who threatened her with violence before swiping her bag, leaving with two other people in a car.

Within half an hour, police had located a vehicle matching the description in the car park of a hotel in Tothill Street, Minster.

A 46-year-old man and two women, both aged 30, were arrested on suspicion of robbery and remain in custody.
