Three-vehicle crash in Broadstairs near Westwood Cross Shopping Centre

Three vehicles have been involved in a crash near a popular shopping centre.

Emergency services descended on Westwood Road, Broadstairs, this afternoon following the incident near Westwood Cross Shopping Centre.

Police, paramedics and fire crews could be seen near the bus station near Card Factory and Subway.

The fire service confirmed they were called at about 1.10pm to reports of a crash involving three vehicles at the junction of Westwood Road and Margate Road.

"Two fire engines attended and crews assisted Kent Police with making the scene safe," a spokesman said.

Police have confirmed one person suffered a minor injury in the incident.

It is understood fire crews left the scene just before 1.30pm.
