Toddler taken to hospital and woman arrested after pram hit by car in Northdown Road, Cliftonville

A toddler was taken to hospital after a car crashed into a pram.

Emergency services were called to the collision between a car and a pedestrian in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, at 8am today.

It is understood the collision involved a mother pushing a pram and a toddler.

A woman has been arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving following the incident.

A police spokesperson said: “We were called to a collision between a car and a pedestrian in Northdown Road, Cliftonville, at 8am today.

“Officers attended along with the ambulance service and a child was taken to a local hospital.

“A 39-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of dangerous driving and remains in custody while inquiries continue.”
