Trains were delayed after a report of an animal on the line.

Checks were being carried out by Southeastern railway staff this afternoon in Broadstairs.

Southeastern warned trains going through the town were currently being delayed.

Trains through Broadstairs are now on the move again, according to an update posted later.

But commuters were warned that residual delays may still occur between Ramsgate and Margate while trains were brought back on time.
