Trains were delayed for almost three hours after a trespasser was found on the line.
Services were cancelled between Margate and Ramsgate shortly after 10.30am following the incident near Broadstairs.
The power was switched off and the person was later brought safely from the tracks, Southeastern said.
Network Rail staff were held up turning the power back on until emergency services were able to detain the suspect.
At 12.15pm, Southeastern confirmed trains were running again after the suspect had been "apprehended".
All services were running normally shortly after 1pm.
British Transport Police has been contacted for more information.
Southeastern said anyone affected by the delays caused can claim via its Delay Repay scheme.
