Police arrest three men at East Pier in Ramsgate after burglary reported at Newington Road house

Police chased three men after a burglary at a house where the owner was threatened and forced to hand over his keys.

The trio are all in custody after the break in at a house in Ramsgate last night.

Officers were called to the property in Newington Road at 11.20pm and investigated after a man reported being threatened.

Following inquiries overnight, officers then discovered three men at the East Pier and arrested them on suspicion of burglary after a short pursuit on foot.

All the men, aged 19, 24 and 28, are from Ramsgate and are being questioned by officers today while inquiries continue.
