The cafe at the Turner Contemporary gallery in Margate has been closed due to what's described as a "technical difficulty".

A spokesman for the prestigious visitor attraction said a drainage problem in the kitchen was behind the closure.

Staff were hoping to have it reopened by the end of the day.

Meanwhile a pop-up cafe has been set up in The Foyle Room - complete with homemade cakes, ice creams and hot drinks.

Visitors were also being directed to other places in the town.
