A man is in hospital after being stabbed in an assault.

Police were called to a hotel in Royal Parade, Ramsgate, at about 12.40am after it was reported a man had been stabbed, and suffered serious injuries.

Officers carried out a search which led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man in the High Street.

The victim was taken to a London Hospital for treatment.

The man arrested is in police custody and will be interviewed later today.
