Robbery reported in Ramsgate alley between Guildford Lawn and Cannon Road

A woman was grabbed and thrown to the ground in a robbery in Ramsgate.

Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen two people described as teenage boys running from the scene.

The victim, a woman in her 50s, was walking down an alley near Cannon Road when her bag was grabbed from her shoulder.

It is reported to have taken place at around 6pm on Wednesday, January 25.

When her bag was grabbed the straps broke leaving the woman on the ground. She told police she saw two suspects running off towards Guildford Lawn and the town centre.

The bag containing bank cards, a tablet computer and other items was taken.

One of the suspects was described as wearing a dark-coloured hooded top with the hood up which had a white trim. He was also wearing dark trousers and white trainers.

Police said inquiries are ongoing.
