Woman pronounced dead at Broadstairs railway station

Police have confirmed a woman has died following reports of a person on the tracks at a railway station.

Emergency services were called to Broadstairs on Saturday but she was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.

A British Transport Police spokesperson said: “Officers were called to Broadstairs station at 5.14pm on Saturday following reports of a casualty on the tracks.

“Paramedics also attended, however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner.”
