Woman punched in face in attempted robbery in Ramsgate

A woman has been punched in the face in an alleyway by a man who demanded cash.

The victim was walking through a passage off Boundary Road, Ramsgate, at about 5.15pm yesterday when she was approached by the man.

He is alleged to have "asked if she had any money" before punching her once in the face.

The victim then ran from the scene, and called the police.

Officers attended and are investigating the incident.
