Billy Tyler charged with assaulting six police officers in Sussex Street, Ramsgate

A Ramsgate woman is to appear in court accused of spitting at four police officers and hitting another with a plate.

Billy Tyler, 28, was arrested shortly after officers were called to a report of a disturbance in the early morning of Saturday in Sussex Street.

An officer is reported to have been struck with a plate, and a second officer was spat at.

In custody a further three officers reported they were spat at, and a fourth received an injury to his hand.

Billy Tyler, of Sussex Street, Ramsgate, has been charged with six counts of assaulting an emergency worker, as well as causing criminal damage to a custody cell, and a public order offence against a seventh police officer.

She was remanded in custody to appear in virtual court today.
